All children and young people linked to Chailey Heritage Foundation have fundamental rights whilst in our care. These rights are listed in our Chailey Charter, which has been jointly prepared by Chailey Heritage Foundation and Chailey Clinical Services.

We believe that all children and young people have the right:

  • To be safe
  • To be listened to
  • To be respected as an individual
  • To feel good about themselves
  • To be as fit and healthy as possible
  • To be encouraged to develop
