We are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults in our care.

Chailey Heritage Foundation has long been a champion in the field of safeguarding children and young people with disabilities.

'Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk' includes 'Child Protection'.

Chailey Heritage Foundation’s statutory duties under Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, Care Standards Act 2000, Children Act 1989 amended in 2004 and the Care Act 2014, to protect and safeguard all children and young people here, are met through a number of internal policies and procedures, mandatory training and protocols.

All Chailey Heritage School colleagues have read and are trained on 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'.

A team of colleagues (pictured below) are specially trained Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) for our organisation and there is also a named Safeguarding and Whistleblowing Governor.

All Safeguarding and associated policies are available to download below, with paper versions available upon request.

A full suite of Chailey Heritage Foundation policies are available on our policies page.
