The new academic year is off to a vibrant start at Chailey Heritage School, with pupils returning full of energy, enthusiasm and curiosity. In St Martin’s, the children and teaching team have arrived back with a renewed energy and optimism, ready for another year of fun and learning. Our topic of ‘Whizz, Pop, Bang' is already off to a spectacular start with popcorn, balloons and the BFG (Big Friendly Giant) already making appearances. Only a few days into term and we have already celebrated “a first” (as you can see from the riding photo); the first of many this year! Over in Seymour, students have wasted no time diving into learning and reconnecting with friends and teaching teams. The atmosphere is buzzing with positivity as the school community looks ahead to a brilliant year of growth and discovery. Meanwhile, in the Hanbury department, plans are already in motion for a rich and engaging year. The team is excited to deliver a wide range of activities tailored to this year’s incredible group of students. Highlights include a focus on National Poetry Day and the launch of wellbeing journeys; a sensory experience across the school site designed to support emotional and physical wellbeing, as well as happy boxes and even establishing a student council! With Bonfire Night and other surprises still to come, the year promises to be full of variety, productivity, and fun. As always, the dedication of our colleagues and the spirit of the young people make Chailey Heritage Foundation a truly special place to learn and grow.
