Our Roof is Ready to Bloom! The Bradbury Den is an educational learning space created to bring the whole community together through Patchwork Farm.Last week we had a delivery from the mountains... mountain flowerbeds are now sitting on top of the Bradbury Den roof! This is because these plants grow in tough, high-altitude weather, so they can cope with strong winds, heavy rain and changing conditions. That makes them perfect for life on an exposed rooftop. An extra‑long crane lifted the beds onto the roof this week, and Hartley Quinn Wilson team laid them out. Over time these flowers will grow, and we’ll have a living garden roof that supports nature! This eco roof is an important part of our sustainable, carbon‑neutral structure using traditional, local building methods and materials. Once completed, it will help us support nature and reduce our environmental impact and offer an innovative indoor-outdoor environment at our thriving therapeutic Patchwork Farm.
