Local Schools Join Us for a Hands‑On Nature WorkshopTwo local schools joined us on the farm last week for a workshop filled with curiosity and creative making.Pupils started their visit with a guided tour of Patchwork Farm. They met the animals and learned how we care for them each day. After the tour, everyone took part in a practical activity to help wildlife thrive on site. Pupils worked together to make bug hotels. Each hotel is a small wooden box packed with materials like sticks, bark and bamboo. These materials create safe spaces for insects to shelter and nest.Once finished, the boxes will be stacked on an outside wall of the den. This new structure will offer a habitat for a range of insects and help young people see how even small projects can support the environment. We loved seeing the enthusiasm from both schools, and we hope their creations will welcome creepy crawlies soon!
