We were delighted to welcome Emma Hunt, CEO of Kangaroos, to Chailey Heritage Foundation this week. Kangaroos is a Mid Sussex-based charity that provides year-round clubs, activities and trips for children and adults with learning disabilities. Like Chailey Heritage Foundation, Kangaroos is committed to enriching lives, building confidence and creating inclusive opportunities for people with complex needs.As Emma toured our site and therapy spaces, she met with colleagues and young people and commented “It’s great to see the incredible work happening at Chailey Heritage Foundation. There’s so much synergy between our missions; to support people with disabilities and their wider families.” Gareth Germer, CEO, Chailey Heritage Foundation also commented “We’re proud to welcome Emma and to connect with another charity that shares our passion for enabling people with complex disabilities to live full, meaningful lives.” Emma’s visit was a chance to explore how two like-minded organisations can learn from each other and collaborate in our shared belief of person-centred support, fun and friendship.
