A school mum is preparing to run the Brighton Marathon this April to raise funds for Chailey Heritage Foundation.Lucy is taking on this huge challenge in support of her daughter, Lyra, who has been part of our school for more than a decade.Lyra was born with severe and complex disabilities and medical needs. She joined Chailey Heritage School at the age of two, and for the last 11 years our teams have supported her education, therapy and care. We are proud to stand alongside Lyra and her family every step of the way.Lucy said, “Our daughter Lyra was born with severe and complex disabilities and medical needs. She has been at Chailey Heritage School since she was two. For the last 11 years this has been our biggest support and network. Chailey has always believed in Lyra’s potential and has been invaluable to us.”The Brighton Marathon will be Lucy’s first, and she expects it may be her only marathon!Funds raised through Lucy’s marathon will help us continue our specialist services. This includes therapies, assistive technologies and personalised education that enables young people like Lyra to thrive. If you can, please sponsor Lucy and cheer her on as she prepares for this incredible challenge. Please consider sponsoring me, this will be my first and probably only marathon.
