Meet Toby and Rupert!

Toby is running for Rupert to raise money for Chailey Heritage this April in the London Marathon! #TeamChailey

"For me, this cause is deeply personal. My 10-year-old cousin Rupert attends Chailey Heritage Foundation School, and the support he receives there is truly invaluable."

Toby Harris

Rupert is a surviving twin, born at just 23 weeks. He defied all odds and came home after 142 days in neonatal intensive care. He’s a gorgeous little guy with big blue eyes, an infectious smile and giggle, and a spirit that brightens every room. Rupert suffered extensive brain injury before birth and lives with severe quadriplegic cerebral palsy (CP), dystonia, epilepsy, and severe visual impairment. He is non-mobile, non-verbal, has profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and is tube-fed.

Despite these challenges, Rupert continues to thrive thanks to the incredible care, therapy, and education provided by Chailey Heritage Foundation. The staff at Chailey go above and beyond every single day, giving Rupert opportunities to learn, play, and experience joy in ways that would otherwise be impossible. At Chailey, Rupert is able to ride horses, go swimming, and feed animals at the farm, among many other things. They also provide a vital network of support for his family, who have found comfort and community through Chailey.

Running the London Marathon will be a huge personal challenge for me, but it’s nothing compared to the challenges Rupert faces every single day with courage and determination. I’m running for Rupert, and for every amazing young person like him at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

Help Toby reach his goal to help Rupert!

"Every donation, no matter the size, will help this incredible charity continue to change lives."
