Donating Specialist Trikes to Wheels for AllAt Chailey Heritage Foundation, we’re always looking for ways to extend the impact of our resources and support inclusive opportunities beyond our own community. That’s why we’re delighted to share that we’ve donated a number of specialist trikes to Wheels for All, the UK’s leading inclusive cycling charity. These adapted trikes were no longer suitable for use by our current young people, as confirmed by our physiotherapy team. Rather than letting them go unused, we saw a chance to give them a new lease of life and reached out to Wheels for All’s Eastbourne branch. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that equipment which wasn’t being used here can now bring joy and freedom to so many others Olivia Powell, Equipment Administrator The trikes are already making a difference at Eastbourne Sports Park Athletics Track, where Wheels for All hosts inclusive cycling sessions for people of all ages and abilities. Their team, led by Manager Peter Bryant, was thrilled to receive the donation. The trikes from Chailey Heritage Foundation will help offer a greater diversity and range from the early years through to adults. These will and already are changing our riders’ lives, giving them a feeling of freedom and independence sometimes for the first time. We are so passionate and proud about the work we do here and so we are truly grateful for Chailey’s support Peter Bryant, Wheels for All This initiative is part of our wider focus to collaborate with organisations that share our values of accessibility, inclusion and wellbeing.
