What is The Activity Place?

From January 2026, The Activity Place will be new name for our activity services at Chailey Heritage Foundation. It represents a refreshed approach to delivering meaningful, enjoyable and accessible activities for children, young adults and families. While the name is new, the ethos remains the same and The Activity Place will continue to build on existing strengths to offer even more meaningful, enjoyable activities.

Why are we making this change?

We’re evolving to better meet the needs of those we support. This change allows us to offer more choice, more flexibility, and a wider range of activities, while creating a clear identity for our activity services. It’s about building on what works well and introducing improvements that make participation easier. The Activity Place is a safe, welcoming environment where everyone belongs.

What will be different for me?

Initially, very little will change. You’ll still see the same friendly faces and enjoy the activities you know and love. Over time, you’ll notice small enhancements, such as extended hours, new sessions and a simpler booking process. These changes will happen gradually, and we’ll keep you informed every step of the way.

When will these changes happen?

This is a phased development. The soft launch begins now, with improvements introduced gradually over the coming months. We’ll share updates regularly, so you know what’s coming and when. You’ll start to see the new name on our paperwork, forms and marketing material, including on posters and in emails. We will be hosting a launch celebration event at the end of January 2026 and look forward to sharing the details of this with you soon.

Will prices or eligibility change?

There are no immediate changes planned for this year, and we remain committed to keeping activities accessible and affordable for the families and individuals we support. However, as part of this development, we are reviewing our pricing to ensure we can continue delivering high-quality experiences. If any adjustments are needed, any changes will be communicated clearly and well in advance, so you have time to plan. Our priority is always to balance sustainability with fairness for our customers.
