The route takes in many of London's best landmarks including Buckingham Palace, The Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge and Canary Wharf.Chailey Heritage Foundation is lucky to have 4 charity places at London Marathon 2026. To be considered for one of our places, please fill in the interest form. A member of the fundraising team will let the successful applicants know by September 2025 so you can start your marathon training and fundraising.We ask Team Chailey runners to commit to a minimum sponsorship of £2000 but you will receive dedicated fundraising support throughout to ensure that you smash your target! Key information The Route The London Marathon is mostly flat and you’ll run past iconic London landmarks including the Cutty Sark, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, The London Eye, Big Ben and Buckingham Palace before finishing down The Mall.You can read about the history of the London Marathon here. On the day details All runners will be sent a participant guide in the run up to race day with key details on how to get to the start line, start wave times, facilities along the course and what to do once you cross the finish line!
