Stories from Chailey Meet James James is a sociable and cheerful boy whose love for social interactions shines at Patchwork Farm.Oner, James’ teacher, says “ James has a tendency to lose interest and can disconnect when in conversations with friends and family. However, when he’s on the farm he is interacting with the animals, watching their movements and listening to the sounds they make. This helps James to stay focused for longer, maintaining his interest and enabling him to bond with the animals and his peers on the farm.”James can now use his focus and communication skills beyond the farm setting. His growth in confidence has allowed him to develop his relationships with his friends and family and communicate his needs and wants. Mum explains how James now frequently gets into arguments with his twin brother who he has formed a tight sibling bond with.
