Why volunteer at Chailey

Volunteering with us is a rewarding and meaningful experience. Every day at Chailey brings new opportunities to help nurture the potential of the children and young people we work with and to bring joy and wonder to their lives.

From looking after animals on Patchwork Farm, to cheering on runners at a marathon to helping us complete admin tasks – every day is an opportunity to make a difference.

As a Chailey volunteer, you will

  • receive training and an induction
  • learn new skills and gain valuable work experience
  • enhance your existing skills and put them to good use
  • be part of a team and supported in your volunteering role
  • enhance your wellbeing
  • meet and connect with like-minded people
  • enjoy social events with other volunteers
  • receive travel expenses if needed

After I lost my partner, I found that volunteering gave me a purpose, a reason to get up and be able to face the world. I really enjoy talking to other volunteers and getting to know them at events. It’s great to be part of a team.
