Community Fundraiser

As a Community Fundraiser, you will support the fundraising team in running a variety of events and activities.

What you will do

• Welcome event participants
• Speak to supporters about the work of the charity
• Serve refreshments
• Sell raffle or tombola tickets/lucky dips on a stall
• Marshall
• Cheer squad
• Bucket collector
• Help set up and clear down event
• Advertising our services and volunteering opportunities

What you will bring:

• Enthusiasm and commitment
• Able to represent the charity in the community
• Willing to engage with donors and members of the public

What we will provide:

• Be part of a friendly and supportive team
• Briefing for the event
• Support through your named contact and the Volunteer Coordinator
• Reasonable expenses
• Experience in the fundraising sector
• An opportunity to be part of the community, changing lives for young people with disabilities

Location and duration

Some events might be on our site in North Chailey, but mainly in the community. We would like volunteers to help at least 1-2 times a year and hours can be ad hoc and flexible, mainly weekends and evenings.
