Gardener

As a Gardening Volunteer, you will be part of a small gardening team who help with the upkeep and development of the gardens enjoyed by children, young people, families, visitors and colleagues at Chailey Heritage Foundation.

What you will do

  • Hand weeding, hoeing, raking, staking, deadheading, tying-in plants and cutting back the flower and shrub borders
  • Division and propagation of plants and planting
  • Watering and feeding plants, trees and shrubs
  • Mulching and manuring borders.

What you will bring:

  • Be passionate about horticulture
  • Some knowledge and experience of gardening
  • Enjoy working as part of team
  • Like being outdoors
  • Motivated to enhance the gardens for the Chailey Heritage community
