Kevin driver

As a Minibus Driving Volunteer, you will be driving children and young people to places of interest, leisure and education so they are out in the community, gaining new experiences and creating independence.

What you will do

  • Complete vehicle checks so the minibus is safe and road worthy.
  • Make sure the vehicle is clean, tidy and fully equipped for the journey
  • Complete vehicle logs at the end of the trip and report any issues
  • Help with the loading/unloading of children and young people from the vehicle including the clamping and securing of the wheelchairs

What you will bring

  • A full driving licence with less than 6 points
  • Be over 21 and have held a licence for over 2 years
  • Experience of driving a minibus (desirable)
  • Willingness to attend driving training and assessment
  • Able to communicate with a range of people
  • Be reliable and have a flexible approach
  • Can work independently

  • Authorised Driver
  • Minibus transport and safety including clamping
  • Safeguarding, Data Protection, Equality and diversity, Manual Handling

Location

Based from the Chailey Heritage Foundation site to various locations across East and West Sussex.
