As a Minibus Driving Volunteer, you will be driving children and young people to places of interest, leisure and education so they are out in the community, gaining new experiences and creating independence.What you will doComplete vehicle checks so the minibus is safe and road worthy.Make sure the vehicle is clean, tidy and fully equipped for the journeyComplete vehicle logs at the end of the trip and report any issuesHelp with the loading/unloading of children and young people from the vehicle including the clamping and securing of the wheelchairsWhat you will bringA full driving licence with less than 6 pointsBe over 21 and have held a licence for over 2 yearsExperience of driving a minibus (desirable)Willingness to attend driving training and assessmentAble to communicate with a range of peopleBe reliable and have a flexible approachCan work independentlyWhat we will provideBe part of a friendly and supportive teamInduction training and other learning relevant to your roleSupport through your named contact and the Volunteer CoordinatorReasonable expensesTrainingAuthorised DriverMinibus transport and safety including clampingSafeguarding, Data Protection, Equality and diversity, Manual HandlingLocationBased from the Chailey Heritage Foundation site to various locations across East and West Sussex.
