Patchwork Farm Volunteer

As a Farm Volunteer, you will be supporting the Farm team with the day-to-day welfare of the animals on the farm. The role involves providing care, feeding, and general maintenance of the animals’ living areas to ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment.

What you will do

• Prepare and distribute food and water to farm animals
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures, barns, and living areas
• Observe the animals for signs of illness or injury and report any concerns
• Support with safely handling animals during health checks or routine treatments
• Assist with grooming
• Help with exercising and social activities that support the animals’ mental and physical well-being
• Record animal paperwork for feeding, health concerns, and other care activities

What you will bring

• Reasonable level of physical fitness to carry out practical tasks
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Prepared to work in all weathers
• Be reliable
• Able to carry out the role independently, with minimum supervision
