We're delighted to share some lovely news about our former Farm Volunteer, Rosie.Rosie first approached Chailey Heritage Foundation during the first year of her A levels. She was hoping to gain more experience working with and handling different animals to support her application to study Veterinary Medicine at university. She began volunteering on our farm during the summer holidays and, when she returned to college, continued to volunteer every other Sunday afternoon – alongside studying for her A levels, working a part-time job and learning to drive!Rosie left us at Easter to concentrate on her A level revision, and all that hard work has paid off. She achieved the results she needed and will be starting at Harper & Keele Veterinary School in September 🎓Reflecting on her time at Chailey, Rosie said she enjoyed volunteering because it gave her an escape from work and college and that it had been a very positive experience.Rosie quickly became a valued member of the Farm team, learning the role quickly and providing fantastic support. We wish Rosie every success as she starts this exciting next chapter. We’re sure she has a bright future ahead of her as a vet! 💜
