New hoist opens up creative connection in the art room

We’re pleased to share that a new ceiling-track hoist has been installed in our art room.

This important addition is already making a difference. It’s helping the young people access creative sessions with greater independence.

During a recent art session, two young people were supported to work alongside each other using the new hoist. The equipment allowed colleagues to position them together, giving both young people the freedom to focus on the creative experience and on each other.

For many of the children and young people we support, creativity is about far more than making art. It’s about communication, shared experiences and feeling seen. The new hoist helps remove physical barriers, making space for those moments to happen naturally.

“The two young people were able to connect during the session. This was a really special moment for both of them and for everyone else in the room.”
