Pupils from Newick Primary School recently redeemed their prize after winning the scarecrow competition held as part of the opening celebrations for The Bradbury Den.The competition attracted some fantastic entries, with Newick Primary School's creative scarecrow impressing the judges and securing them a special day at Patchwork Farm.During their visit, the children enjoyed a hands-on experience meeting many of the farm's animals. From bathing tortoises and cuddling guinea pigs to feeding goats, sheep and pigs, there were plenty of opportunities to learn about animal care while having fun.The activities continued throughout the day as pupils met the farm's chickens and created enrichment activities to keep them entertained. The group also put their creativity and teamwork skills to the test by designing enrichment toys and activities for the sheep and goats to enjoy. We were delighted to welcome the winning class to Patchwork Farm and hope they enjoyed their well-earned prize.
