Step by Step, Eleanor Reached Her Goal

Girl walking with the help from two women.

A remarkable challenge that showcased determination, resilience, and perseverance has been successfully completed by Eleanor!

Eleanor began her challenge on 19 November 2025 and reached her goal on 28 June 2026. She has walked the distance of 51.4 km, which is the same distance from Angmering to Chailey Heritage Foundation! The challenge was completed within Chailey Heritage Foundation's gym; every step was carefully tracked to measure her progress.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Eleanor completed the challenge without the use of a sling. Through months of dedication and hard work, she continued to take steady steps towards her target, demonstrating incredible commitment throughout the journey.

Eleanor was supported every step of the way by her fantastic PAs, who guided her and encouraged her during the challenge. Their support helped her stay focused as she worked towards completing the equivalent distance between Angmering and Chailey.

Each step Eleanor took accounted for 0.003km of her overall total. Over seven months, those individual steps added up to an impressive 51.4km, culminating in a wonderful achievement that was celebrated by everyone down at the gym!

Everyone at Chailey Heritage Foundation is incredibly proud of Eleanor and all that she has achieved. Her challenge is a fantastic example of how dedication, support and a positive attitude can help overcome obstacles and achieve ambitious goals.

Congratulations, Eleanor, on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to celebrating many more successes with you in the future 💜
