Two fathers who lost their daughters just six weeks apart are preparing to take on an incredible fundraising challenge in their memory.Matt Vince, a long-time supporter of Chailey Heritage Foundation, and Marcellus Edmonds will be joined by 10 friends this September to take on Carry The Load. Together, they'll hike 50km across the South Downs while carrying all the equipment needed to complete 11 gruelling workouts along the route.Matt's daughter, Luna-Rose Vince, sadly passed away in 2022 aged three. During her early years, Luna-Rose attended Aquamovers at Chailey Heritage Foundation. Marcellus's daughter, Jemima Rebekah Edmonds, passed away aged eight following an asthma attack. Jemima was cared for by Evelina London Children's Hospital in her final days.To honour their daughters, the team will carry a rowing machine, barbell, weight plates and other equipment for the entire challenge. Every 5km, they will stop and complete a full workout before continuing on their journey, including through the night to finish within 24 hours. One workout alone includes 400 squats, 400 deadlifts and 400 bench presses. Funds raised will be split equally between Chailey Heritage Foundation and Evelina London Children's Charity, helping both organisations continue supporting children and families when they need it most.
