This week we are saying thank you to all the unpaid carers at Chailey Heritage Foundation and beyond ✨
This year, the national carers week theme is 'Putting Carers on the Map'. This awareness campaign is seeking to increase visibility for carers and provide a platform for much-needed recognition and support.
At Chailey Heritage we have a community of carers, whether that is parents, siblings, friends or otherwise. Every day they go above and beyond to provide a level of care to someone who requires support, and often forget to support themselves 💜
Chailey Heritage Foundation has recently filled two new Family Liaison Worker roles, both funded by a separate linked charity, and a partnership with IPSEA, to commit to better support parents and carers every day. Lauren Humphreys is delighted to have been appointed one of these roles.
Lauren will help support parents and carers of any child who attends school at Chailey Heritage Foundation, advocating on their behalf. She can also assist in: settling in periods, transitions, respite and out-of-school activities, signposting and general emotional support. The second role will be more focused on supporting families through admissions, referrals and tribunals, offering advice, guidance and emotional support throughout the journey.
