We’re proud to announce a new partnership with Britton and Time Solicitors who will be providing free wills to our supporters as well as fundraising for us.
Sally-Anne Murray, Development Director at Chailey Heritage Foundation, said:
“We are excited about the benefits that the partnership with Britton & Time will bring to our supporters. Gifts in wills are important to the charity helping us to provide much needed services and facilities for the young people in our care. Expert professional advice and guidance for supporters who are writing their wills will be a huge help and being able to offer this free of charge is fantastic for all concerned”
Our partnership
Our initial partnership with Britton and Time will see us launch three main initiatives:
Of the partnership, Elisabeth Squires, Head of Private Client at Britton and Time, said:
“Charitable gifts made through wills are one of the easiest ways people can support charities, and while many of the big names out there have long-established will writing schemes, local charities like Chailey Heritage Foundation, are amongst those charities who need funding the most.
With property values skyrocketing in the last few decades, many people are now sitting on hundreds of thousands of pounds of equity, a small percentage of which could not only be transformational for a local charity, but could also reduce any inheritance tax liable on your estate.
Rather than supporting national charities where in many cases, very little of the money you donate makes it through to the final cause, almost all of the money you donate through a legacy gift or otherwise to Chailey Heritage Foundation, goes to benefit the children they support.
Managing Director of Britton and Time, Paul Britton, had this to say:
“We’re incredibly excited to begin our partnership with one of Sussex’s oldest and historic charities, and to help raise awareness for a cause that can sometimes be brushed to one side.
The young people who are supported by the team at Chailey Heritage Foundation require specialist services and equipment that are not only costly but can also only be funded through voluntary income from generous supporters and donors.
By helping Chailey Heritage Foundation to raise awareness in both Sussex and London, we hope to bring complex neurodisabilities to the forefront of the conversation, while supporting children who need help the most.”
