Steve joined Chailey Heritage School in 2024 as Assistant Headteacher. As well as being Head of Department for St Martins Steve is also a designated safeguarding lead and trained manual handling advisor. He has a masters degree in SPMLD and is responsible for the quality of teaching and learning throughout the school.

His teaching career has spanned over twenty years including working in upstate New York and Southern Sweden. Prior to coming to Chailey, for the past fifteen years, he has worked mainly with pupils with profound multiple learning difficulties either in a teaching or leadership capacity. His most recent positions include working at The Childrens Trust in Tadworth and at Sherwood Park School in Wallington.
