Paula Marten

Paula joined Chailey Heritage School in January 2015 as Manager of the Hanbury Department. She was appointed as Assistant Headteacher in April 2017. 

Paula started her teaching career in 1995 in Cornwall, working with adults with learning disabilities. Prior to Chailey Heritage, Paula worked as Head of Study Support at an Ofsted-graded Outstanding mainstream sixth-form college for ten years, managing the provision for Learning Support, ESOL, and Access Arrangements for SEND in exams. She was the Coordinator for the Learning Support service at a General Further Education college for two years prior to this, after spending seven years at a college for land-based education, teaching students with additional needs.

Amongst her other whole-school responsibilities, Paula now leads on Transition to Adult Services at Chailey.
