On Tuesday 7th June 2022, we officially opened our wonderful Garden of Celebration. This very special garden, designed by students from Plumpton College and garden designer, Caroline Scaramanga, provides a permanent location where we can remember all those that have enriched our community – whether as a pupil in the school, a young adult, a volunteer, staff member or through their dedicated support to the Foundation.
The garden is available to those onsite at any time to enjoy or to reflect and will open to the wider community on special occasions throughout the year.
During the opening of the Garden, we hosted our first golden apple hanging ceremony to place engraved apple-shaped plaques on the apple tree sculpture to celebrate the lives of those connected with the charity. This was followed by a tour of our site and afternoon tea in our café.
If you would like to know more about the Garden of Celebration or if you would like to remember someone connected with Chailey Heritage Foundation by hanging a personalised golden apple plaque on the apple tree, please contact Will Folkes at wfolkes@chf.org.uk
