New Estates Manager joins Chailey

Steve Primrose joins us as the new Estates Manager to manage, coordinate and maintain the site and comes with a wealth of experience.

Steve has spent the majority of his career (thirty seven years) working in the NHS mainly based in London, responsible for a range of support services that have included; Estates, Security and Car-parking and Capital projects to name a few.

For the last two and a half years Steve worked in a charity called the Charterhouse as their Head of Estates and Facilities. The Charterhouse is a historic site in London which has served as a monastery, private mansion, boys’ school and most recently as an alms-house, which it is today.

Steve lives locally in Uckfield and wanted to put something back into the local community and was drawn to working with a local charity. He hopes that his knowledge and experience gained in support services and estates management over the last thirty years will benefit Chailey Heritage Foundation and is looking forward to building on the work of his predecessors and helping to support the staff and young people that live in and use the site facilities.
