Last week, Seymour Department have been very busy making lots of different art and crafty bits for Chinese New Year to decorate the communal hall and their classrooms with. The young people made paper spiral dragons, lucky fish, paper plate lanterns, fans and coin trees across the week, with a different focus activity each day. They also enjoyed the opportunity to get messy exploring Chinese spices and vegetables and even some dyed rice! The culmination of the week was having a special Chinese lunch prepared by the school cook in classes surrounded by all of the artefacts that had been made across the week which was very special! Some even watched a bit of Mulan on Friday afternoon to round the week off. A great week was had by all; as evidenced by these photos! Many thanks to teachers Oner and Ollie for organising and the Seymour SEAs for always getting stuck into our cultural experiences. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
